Kyrgyz president calls for joint economic projects
BISHKEK. “There is need to focus on the development of joint economic projects and expansion of industrial cooperation,” President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).
The President noted the importance of giving a new impetus to the dynamics of cooperation between the CIS countries, aimed at ensuring the growth of welfare and quality of life of the peoples. He also drew attention to the implementation of projects to introduce innovative achievements in the agricultural sector and logistics.
“Today, we can see a return to protectionist policies in the world. We need to reach a new level of interaction between our countries in the field of transit of goods, road and rail transportation, and expand the transport corridor. I believe that the new CIS Economic Development Strategy will become the basis for a fuller use of the CIS potential,” President stressed.
