ECP to take up PTI MNAs plea against Maryam on 27th
ISLAMABAD, MAY 17 (DNA)- Election Commission of Pakistan will hear PTI’s plea against Maryam Nawaz’s appointment as Vice-President PMLN on 27th May 2019 at 10:00am and notices in this regard have been issued to PTI lawmakers.
According to the details issued by party’s Central Media Department PTI lawmakers have been issued notices by ECP informing them that the petition against PMLN leader Maryam Nawaz has been fixed for hearing on 27th of this month.
The PTI lawmakers including Farrukh Habib, Malika Bukhari, Javeria Zafar and Kanwal Shauzab pleaded to set Maryam’s appointment as PMLN Vice-President, aside.
They maintained that Maryam Nawaz’s appointment is in contradiction to the constitution since she has been disqualified from holding party position.
Commenting on the matter PTI MNA Farrukh Habib stated that like Bilawal Zardari, Maryam Nawaz also seeks to inherit a political property. He said that she has been convicted by the country’s courts and is not eligible to hold a party position.=DNA
