90% of outlaws coming into Iran from Pakistan: Iran Interior Minister

TEHRAN, July 01 (DNA): Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Sunday that 90% of the outlaws are coming into Iran from the Pakistani border.

Speaking to reporters, Rahmani Fazli described eastern borders as dangerous, saying more than 70% of narcotic drugs, as well as 80% of immigrants are coming into Iran from Pakistan.

Iran has problem with border security both at eastern and western borders, the minister said. However, he noted that the problem is more bothering at the eastern borders, IRNA reported.

Referring to joint borders with Afghanistan, Rahmani Fazli said that Afghanistan is too weak to maintain security at its borders.

‘We built some regiments for them (Afghan government), but they did not have enough forces to deploy there,’ the minister said.
