LAHORE (DNA) – Processions of 8th Muharram will be taken out across the country on Wednesday amid tight security.
Mobile phone service in all major cities of Sindh including Karachi will remain suspended on 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram.

According to Sindh Home Department, mobile phone services will remain suspended along the routes of Muharram processions and other sensitive installations from 7:00am till 12:00midnight in all major cities of the province.

Sindh Home Department further informed that the decision to suspend mobile phone service has been taken on the recommendation of law enforcement agencies.

In order to avoid any untoward incident, pillion riding has been banned by the department.
The ban, effective from last night, will remain till Friday 10th of Muharram.
