Iran vows to stand with Pakistan against US aggressive posture
TEHRAN (DNA)- Senior Iranian and Pakistani Defense officials in a meeting in Tehran underlined the need for broadening bilateral ties, especially in join production of military equipment.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Tuesday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami and Pakistani Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussain explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating defense relations.
“The development of defense cooperation between Iran and Pakistan will lead to rising security and stability of the region,” General Hatami said.
“The experience of recent years has revealed the US criminal purposes and intentions for independent countries of the region.
The United States and the Zionist regime are the most dangerous and the biggest supporters of the terrorism in the region and the extremism has originated from the US policies in the region,” he added.
In relevant remarks in mid-November, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoust underlined that Tehran and Islamabad “are resolved to further broaden and strengthen bilateral relations and mutual cooperation”.
