Aitzaz Ahsan accuses federal govt of trying to make JIT controversial

LAHORE, JUN 12 (DNA) – Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) senior leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Monday has accused federal government of trying to make joint investigation team (JIT), probing Sharif’s offshore assets, controversial.
He was talking to media in Lahore. Ahsan further demanded to make JIT inquiry public as it was not the matter of national interest.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique took to microblogging website Twitter and unleashed verbal onslaught against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan.
“Imran Khan’s value, to abdicate Nawaz Sharif, is not more than a pawn. Nawaz Sharif appeared at every forum to ensure fair accountability,” Rafique asserted in a tweet.
Rafique accused Imran Khan of challenging jurisdiction of Election Commission of Pakistan and Supreme Court in party funding and Bani Gala’s residence cases.=DNA
