ISLAMABAD, MAY 19 (DNA) National Economic Council meeting starts under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister of AJ&K, Governor KPK Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sind, KPK, Balochistan attending.
Federal and Provincial Ministers also present.
Prime Minister’s remarks during NEC
– Pakistan’s Economic indicators have significantly improved and are acknowledged by international financial rating institutions.
– 5.28% growth rate is commendable.
– Pakistan is now among fastest growing economies.
– Federal and Provincial governments are working in harmony for development of the country.
– CPEC projects are on fast track.
– During Belt and Road Forum at China all Chief Ministers accompanied me and the world saw that Pakistan unanimously stands for development and it was a very positive message that we are united.
– We are focusing on Energy projects. Not only power supply is our priority but we are providing affordable power supply for consumers.
– We are focusing on a balanced mix of sources for energy including LNG, Coal, Hydel, Solar and Wind.
– Infrastructure is the key to development and we are focusing on roads and communication networks.
– Development should not be politicized. Pakistan’s development is everyone’s prosperity.
– People centric approach adopted for development planning.
