KARACHI, NOV 25, (DNA) -In an attempt to restore hopes for the resumption of India-Pakistan cricket, Javed Afridi — the owner of PSL Peshawar Zalmi — on Friday met the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur in New Delhi.

Afridi, after the meeting, stated that the meeting was aimed as a step towards finding ways to resume cricketing ties between the two nations.

“My plan is to have a series of matches between Peshawar Zalmi and some IPL teams, I have met with some owners of IPL teams and looking forward to the idea,” Afridi said after meeting Thakur.

“I have requested the head of BCCI to allow IPL teams to play matches with PSL teams, at any neutral venue,” he said.

Terming the meeting with Anurag Thakur as positive, Afridi said that another round of meeting will be held in Sri Lanka next month.

Afridi also presented the team shirt to Thakur on the occasion.=DNA
