3 terrorists shot dead in Dera Ghazi Khan operation: ISPR
RAWALPINDI, FEB 17 (DNA) – Security forces gunned down three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ghazi Khan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said Rangers and Elite Police personnel along with officials of intelligence agencies carried out the operation under the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
Three militants were killed in a shootout with the personnel, it said and added two Rangers personnel also got injured in the operation.
AK-47, hand grenades, improvised explosive device and ammunition were seized from the possession of terrorists.
Last week, the IBOs were conducted in Gish Kaur, Buleda, Tratha and Pishin areas of Balochistan province.
A large cache of arms and ammunition including RPG grenades, sub-machine guns and snipers were recovered during the raids.
Other equipment including communication devices, Global Positioning System (GPS) and laptops were also seized.
