Over 2,000 km of new railway put into operation across China in H1
BEIJING Aug 31 (XINHUA/APP):A total of 2,043.5 km of new railway lines were put into service across China in the first half of the year (H1), said the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway) on Wednesday. During the period, the country’s rail cargo volume rose 5.5 percent year on year to about 1.95 billion tonnes, according to the company’s H1 financial statement.
