President dissolved National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan has dissolved the National Assembly. Fresh elections now should be held within three months.

He lauded the step of the ruling of the speaker. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced to resort to Supreme Court for remedy. He said the ruling of the Speaker is un constitutional.

Govt sacks Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has sacked Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar as political tensions reach a pinnacle ahead of the vote on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry announced the government’s decision on his official Twitter account. “The announcement regarding new Punjab governor will be made later, while deputy speaker of [provincial assembly] will be the acting governor in the meantime,” Fawad wrote.
