Fire ravages Cape Town seat of South Africa’s parliament

Firefighters battled a major blaze at South Africa’s parliament complex on Sunday that sent a dark plume of smoke and flames into the air above the centre of Cape Town and caused some ceilings of the building that houses the national legislature to collapse. Israeli jets pound Gaza after rocket fire

Israel’s military said early on Sunday it launched strikes against “militant targets” in the Gaza Strip, a day after rockets were fired from the Hamas-ruled territory.
