Top Qatar diplomat most senior to visit Kabul since Taliban takeover
Kabul, Sept 12: Qatar’s foreign minister, who is also the country’s deputy premier, was briefly in Afghanistan Sunday, becoming the most senior diplomat to visit the country since the Taliban’s takeover on August 15. A Taliban official tweeted that Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met senior officials of the new Afghan regime, although details of their talks were not disclosed. The group released pictures of Sheikh Mohammad meeting new Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, while photographs of him with former president Hamid Karzai were circulating on social media.Read More
Belarus eyes billion-dollar arms deal with Russia
Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko says he plans to buy more than 1 billion dollars’ worth of Russian weapons. According to the Belarusian state news agency Belta, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Lukashenko discussed the new equipment during their meeting last week. One possible acquisition for the Belarusians would be the S-400 air defence system, Lukashenko said on Sunday during the visit to a military site not far from the town of Baranovichi in western Belarus. LAHORE: Punjab government has decided to launch Rescue 1122 Air Ambulance service in the high risk areas of the province. Director General Rescue 1122 Dr. Rizwan Naseer while talking to PTV news said Punjab government is taking all possible steps to further improve the rescue services. He said that Emergency Service is responding over 1000 road traffic accidents in all districts on daily basis.

Russia, Belarus launch massive military drills near NATO’s member countries
MOSCOW: Russia and Belarus have launched massive military drills near Nato’s member countries amid soaring tension with West. According to Russian Defence Ministry, two hundred thousands personnel would take part in the week-long military exercise in Belarus, Western Russia Baltic Sea. The Zapad-2021 weeklong military exercises involved 80 planes and helicopters, 290 tanks, 240 artillery pieces, multiple rocket launchers, mortars and as well as 15 ships.
UK Govt drops plan for vaccine passports in England
