G7 nations urge Tunisia president to appoint PM
The G7 group of industrialised nations has called on President Kais Saied of Tunisia to urgently appoint a new head of government. In a joint-statement, the group said that naming a prime minister would create space for dialogue about proposed constitutional reforms. In July, President Saied swept aside the government, suspended parliament and took control of the country. His opponents have accused him of staging a coup. But his measures were broadly welcomed by Tunisians, who’ve been deeply disappointed by the performance of their political parties.
Palestine calls on Israel to present peace program to realize two-state solution
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye has called on the Israeli government to present a peace road map about “two-state solution” on 1967 borders. Addressing the Palestinian cabinet, he said plan proposed by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to restrict the conflict is nothing more than throwing dust in the eyes of the international community. Palestinian Prime Minister said reducing the conflict is a plan aimed at reducing the Palestinian land and repositioning the Israeli occupation in the Palestinian territories.
