Sarwar, Asim Bajwa discuss ongoing CPEC projects
LAHORE: Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. Gen. (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa met Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in Lahore today. During the meeting, issues including ongoing CPEC projects were discussed. Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said under leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan is moving in right direction. Lieutenant General (Retd.) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the CPEC will increase economic growth in the country as well employment opportunities.

US to intensify efforts to secure peace agreement b/w Kabul, Taliban: Blinken
WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said United States will intensify its efforts to secure a peace agreement between Kabul and the Taliban. According to a statement issued after his unannounced visit to Kabul, Antony Blinken said Washington will also continue its humanitarian support to Afghanistan and advocacy for the rights of women and girls. He also warned the Taliban that any attack on American troops would be met with a very forceful response.
