First KP doctor dies of coronavirus

PESHAWAR, APR 25  – A doctor who contracted the novel coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has passed away. This is the first death of a doctor from the virus reported in the province. ENT specialist Dr Muhammad Javed passed away at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar where he was being treated. He was working in the hospital’s COVID-19 ward when he contracted the virus. He tested positive last week and was put on the ventilator.

Chinese military helps Pakistani counterpart contain COVID-19

STAFF REPORT BEIJING, April 25 :The Pakistani military received a batch of COVID-19 aid, which was sent by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), according to China’s Ministry of National Defense. At the request of the Pakistani military, PLA also sent a 10-member medical expert team to Pakistan to help them contain the pandemic.
