US records 1,509 coronavirus deaths in past 24 hours: report

WASHINGTON, APR 14  – The United States recorded 1,509 deaths related to the coronavirus pandemic over the past 24 hours, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:30 pm Monday (0030 GMT Tuesday). The number of fatalities was similar to the previous day’s toll of 1,514. The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 23,529 people in the US, the most of any country. Balochistan to start random COVID-19 testing from Wednesday: spokesperson

QUETTA, APR 14 – Balochistan will start testing residents for the novel coronavirus randomly on a mass scale from tomorrow [Wednesday], Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani said. “Once we start testing people, we will find out where the ratio of the spread of the virus is more and where it isn’t,” he said on Tuesday. Special Flydubai flight to bring back 180 stranded Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD, APR 14 – The Civil Aviation Authority has allowed Flydubai to operate a special flight to bring back 180 Pakistanis stranded in Dubai. The flight will land at Faisalabad airport and it will take back 11 UAE embassy staff members. The CAA, however, said that no member of the flight crew will be allowed to disembark from the aircraft while at the airport.
