Pakistan allows exit of Afghan nationals on humanitarian basis
ISLAMABAD, APR 4 (DNA) – At the special request of the Government of Afghanistan and based on humanitarian considerations, Pakistan has decided to allow the exit of Afghan nationals in Pakistan, wishing to go back to their country. The Torkham and Chaman land border crossings will be opened for a specific period from 6 April to 9 April 2020 to facilitate Afghan nationals. IHC allows govt to turn hotels into quarantine centres
ISLAMABAD, APR 4 — The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday gave a nod to turning three- and four-star hotels into ‘quarantine centres’ where the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has planned to keep coronavirus patients. $200m pandemic response pact signed with World Bank
ISLAMABAD, APR 4 – Pakistan and the World Bank have signed a $200 million ‘Pandemic Response Effective Project’that will help the poor and vulnerable cope with the immediate impact of the Covid-19 pandemic through social protection measures, food rations and remote learning education.
