Pakistan expresses concerns over escalating US-Iran tensions
ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui on Thursday said that Pakistan has expressed its concerns over the escalating hostile relations between United States and Iran after strikes in Iraq. ISLAMABAD – The United States of America (USA) remained the top export destinations of the Pakistani products during first five months of current financial year (2019-20), followed by United Kingdom (UK) and China. Lahore: Metro bus fare increased by Rs 10
LAHORE – The fare of Lahore’s metro bus service has been increased by Rs 10, on Thursday. According to sources, Punjab Finance and Transport Departments had recommended Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to increase the fare by Rs 20. The departments told the CM that the province is giving annual subsidy of Rs 12.30 billion on current rates and the subsidy will reduce to Rs 10.50 billion if the fare is fixed at Rs 50. Iran probe finds Ukrainian plane turned back after ‘problem’
TEHRAN – A Ukrainian airliner, which crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran with the loss of all 176 people on board, had turned back after experiencing a problem, Iranian authorities said. “The plane, which was initially headed west to leave the airport zone, turned right following a problem and was headed back to the airport at the moment of the crash,” the Iranian Civil Aviation Organisation said on its website late Wednesday.
