Russian commander lauds role of Pak Navy in maintaining peace

ISLAMABAD, JUL 03 (DNA) – Russian Ground Forces Commander in Chief, Army General Oleg Salyukov called on Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in Islamabad on Wednesday. According to spokesman for Pakistan Navy, regional security situation and matters pertaining to mutual interest were discussed in the meeting. The Naval Chief apprised the dignitary of Pakistan Navy’s steps toward regional maritime security patrol in the Indian Ocean. The Russian Ground Forces Commander in Chief lauded the role of Pakistan Navy in maintaining peace and security in the region.


Park Lane case: NAB approves filing another reference against Zardari

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi on Wednesday formally nominated former president Asif Ali Zardari as an accused person in the Park Lane Estate Company case. Reportedly, NAB chairman Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal presided over a meeting of the executive board of the bureau. The chairman approved filing a reference against Zardari in the Park Lane case. On the occasion, he termed corruption as “the biggest hurdles towards state’s development and prosperity.”


Bilawal doesn’t hold iqama of any company in Dubai: Khokhar

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has refuted claims that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari holds iqama (work permit) of any company in Dubai. However, he clarified that Bilawal possesses a special iqama of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which he uses for travelling to/from Dubai, and that it has been declared before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Khokhar’s statement followed issuance of details of assets of the members of the National Assembly (NA).


Prime suspect in Chinese consulate attack arrested

KARACHI (DNA) – The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) prime suspect involved in the attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi, in November 2018, has been arrested by the law enforcement agencies. The suspect namely Rashid Brohi has been transported to Pakistan after being detained from a Gulf state. According to details, Brohi had monitored the overall plan of the attack and provided all facilities to the attackers. Peshawar: Transporters increase fare after CNG prices go up

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The transporters in Peshawar have raised their fares after recent hike in the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
