SYDNEY/MELBOURNE: (DNA) – A Somali-born man set fire to a pickup truck laden with gas cylinders in the centre of the Australian city of Melbourne on Friday and stabbed three people, killing one, before he was shot by police in a rampage they called an act of terrorism. Fake Degree Case: SC sets petition against NAB Lahore DG for hearing
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Supreme Court on Friday set petition for hearing into fake degree case against National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore chapter Director General Shahzad Saleem. Sources told that a three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has been formed. The will take up the case of November 12 against the NAB Lahore’s DG. A citizen had filed a fake case degree case against Saleem Shahzad. The court also issued notice to the petitioner.
Pakistan, UAE agree to participate in 12th round of Joint Ministerial Commission next year
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Pakistan and United Arab Emirates have agreed to participate in the 12th round of Joint Ministerial Commission of the two countries that would be held in Abu Dhabi early next year. The agreement came in a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Islamabad today. The two sides also agreed to meet on the sidelines of Sir Bani Yas Forum in Abu Dhabi later this month.
Haseeb Athar takes oath as Chairman FPSC
ISLAMABAD: (DNA) – Haseeb Athar was sworn in as the Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday. Arrest warrants issued for four MQM leaders
KARACHI, (DNA) – An anti-terrorism court issued arrest warrants for four leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Friday. The warrants have been issued for Babar Ghauri, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, Ahmed Ali and Arshad Vohra. The FIA has received the warrants issued by the ATC. According to FIA, the four individuals were issued notices repeatedly but had failed to appear for investigation.
