Fawad Chaudhary greets nation on ‘new Pakistan’, refers Imran as ‘PM’
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Perhaps jumping the gun before official announcement of the election results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary tweeted to congratulate nation on “new Pakistan” and dubbed party chief Imran Khan as the “Prime Minister ”. The final results are yet to come when Chaudhary posted a tweet, however tentative results at 11.04pm show that the PTI is leading with 103 NA seats, followed by52 PML-N, 32 PPP, 20 independents, eight MMA and three MQM.
PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi wins NA-156 constituency in Multan
MULTAN: (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has won National Assembly seat from NA-156 by securing 93497 votes, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results. Amir Saeed Ansari of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz bagged 73529 votes. According to reports, the PTI is leading on more than 80 seats with PMLN and PPP lagging behind.

EU Election Observation Mission expresses satisfaction over polling arrangements
ISLAMABAD, (DNA): The European Union Election Observation Mission on Wednesday said that it was quite satisfied with the arrangements made for the election. Speaking to the media, Michael Gahler, head of the mission, said they have visited several polling stations to review the procedure. He said the people Pakistan seem extremely excited to use their right to franchise. The delegation also examined the ballot papers being used in the election.
