Pakistan awards Jinnah Scholarship to over 300 Sri Lankan students

KANDY, (DNA) – Pakistan has awarded scholarships to over three hundred Sri Lankan students under Jinnah Scholarships Scheme. A ceremony to this effect was held in Sri Lankan city of Kandy. Applauding the successful students, the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, Janbaz Khan reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to contribute in enhancing Sri Lanka’s younger generation’s prospects for better educational opportunities. The scholarships scheme was launched in 2006 and has since benefited 1800 Lankan students so far.


Asma Hamid, First ever women Advocate General sacked

Pakistan, Tajikistan to enhance trade to $500m

DUSHANBE: (DNA) – Pakistan and Tajikistan on Tuesday agreed to further strengthen their relations by taking measures in order to raise annual bilateral trade to $500 million, immediately revive air links and implement the Casa-1,000 electricity supply project. FIFA World Cup committee apologises after plane carrying Saudi team catches fire
