Turkish ambassador pays farewell call on COAS General Bajwa

RAWALPINDI, NOV 24 (DNA) – Sadik Babur Girgin, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to bid farewell at the end of his tenure in Pakistan. Matters of mutual interest including regional security issues were discussed during the meeting. The two noted the exceptional mutual relations between the brotherly Nations and pledged to further improve the same.


Pakistan’s share in Afghan trade plummets to 12pc from 50pc

ISLAMABAD,  (DNA)- Pakistan’s share in overall trade of Afghanistan has plummeted to drastic 12pc from 50pc. The current trade volume stands at merely $1.20 billion whereas—a few years back—it was $2.50 billion. Contrary to that Iran’s trade with Afghanistan has soared to healthy $2.5 bn from just $170 million. Afghan embassy’s official, on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that Afghanistan’s traders are disappointed from Pakistan’s policies. Similarly, Iran is facilitating Afghan trade via Chabahar port. India is also trying to fill the vacuum created by Pakistan’s absence.


Rs80 bn scam case: Record of 17 companies handed over to NAB

LAHORE, (DNA)- Joint Stock Companies on Tuesday handed over record of Punjab’s 17 public limiter companies to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as anti-graft watchdog accelerates the ongoing probe in Rs80bn scam case. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan increase flight frequency

BAKU, NOV 24 (DNA) – The aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have agreed on increasing flights between the two countries, the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Investments and Development Ministry of Kazakhstan reported.
