Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrives in Pakistan on three-day visit

ISLAMABAD, JAN 31, (DNA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Islamabad on Monday night on a three-day visit to Pakistan. President Abbas is accompanied by a seventeen-member delegation including five ministers. It is his third visit to Pakistan as he had previously been to the country in 2005 and 2013. UN Security Council to hold urgent talks on Iran missile test

UNITED NATIONS, JAN 31, (DNA) – The UN Security Council will hold urgent talks Tuesday on Iran´s test-firing of a medium-range missile, diplomats said. The United States requested the emergency consultations after the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations called for council action. “In light of Iran´s January 29 launch of a medium-range ballistic missile, the United States has requested urgent consultations of the Security Council,” the US mission said in a statement. SC resumes Panamagate Case hearing

SC resumes hearing Panama Leaks case

ISLAMABAD, JAN 31, (DNA) –  A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, resumed hearing of Panamagate Case on Tuesday. The five-member bench also included Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Ijaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Hasan, hearing the case against the children of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Counsel of Prime Minister’s children Hassan and Hussain Nawaz will give his arguments in the high profile case. In the previous hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted the record of Ishaq Dar’s statement in Supreme Court.
