RAWALPINDI , 14 MAR (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, Monday called for consolidation of the gains achieved during a series of operations in the tribal regions for long term stability.The army chief was speaking at the Corps Commanders Conference at the GHQ, the ISPR said.The forum dwelt at length on internal and external security situation and other professional matters. LAHORE, 14 MAR (DNA) – Jamiat-e-Ulema-Islam-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman held a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Monday and discussed Women Protection Bill.Later, talking to media, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that the Prime Minister has assured him to address the reservations of the Islamic scholars on the Women Protection Bill, recently adopted by the Punjab Assembly.He said during the meeting he apprised the prime minister in detail about his reservations on the bill.He said the Prime Minister directed the concerned review committee to resolve matter at the earliest.Read More
