The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, paid a state visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from 11-13 November 2015, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.2. ISLAMABAD: Journalist Absar Alam has formally been appointed chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).The Establishment Division Wednesday issued a notification regarding his appointment. PEMRA has been without a regular chairman since late 2013 after the government removed Chaudhry Rasheed.Pervaiz Rathore, a PEMRA member was then given acting charge and following his retirement in May this year, Kamaluddin Teepu, an executive member, headed the authority. Alam works with Aaj Television and International Non-Governmental Organization – Open Society Foundation.
