Eight more executed in jails accross Punjab

GUJRAT/ MULTAN /ATTOCK/KASUR /JHANG/SARGODHA: Eight more death row prisoners were executed on Wednesday morning in jails throughout Punjab. Three death row prisoners, including a father Aftab Ahmed and his son Muhammad Usman, were hanged in Attock Jail. Both were convicted in a double murder case in the Attock police area. Lashkar-i-Jhangvi chief Malik Ishaq, 2 sons killed

LAHORE: Malik Ishaq, chief of banned sectarian outfit Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, his two sons Usman and Haq Nawaz, and 11 others were killed in an alleged exchange of fire with police personnel late on Tuesday night. KABUL: The leader of the Afghan Taliban, Mullah Mohammed Omar, has died, Afghan officials say, but the militant group has not commented on the claim. The reclusive leader died two to three years ago, Afghan government and intelligence sources said. No further details were released.
