Death toll in Karachi heatwave rises to 750
KARACHI, 23 JUNE (DNA) – The death toll due to heatstroke in the last four days has risen to more than 520 in Karachi.According to official sources, most patients are men of aged 50 or more.As per details, more than 200 deaths have been reported from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, 71 each at Civil Hospital and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, 28 at Qatar Hospital, 22 each at Ziauddin Hospital and Liaquat National Hospital, 30 at Indus Hospital, 15 at Lyari General Hospital and 8 at Sindh Government Hospital.

Sartaj Aziz denies remarks on Afghan Taliban talks’ deadline
ISLAMABAD, 23 JUNE (DNA) – Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, Tuesday denied remarks attributed to him that the Afghan Taliban and the gov’t will meet within a week.Section of the media has quoted Mr Aziz as saying that Kabul and the Taliban will hold another round of talks in a week as follow up the Urumqi talks.
