Literary ceremony followed by poetry recital arranged at PUCAR

RAWALPINDI, SEPT 27 – Literary organization Halqa Ilam o Adab in collaboration with Punjab Council of the Arts arranged a literary ceremony in honor of senior poet Dr Farhat Abbas followed by a poetic recital. The ceremony was presided over by Prof Jalil Aali and Member Punjab Assembly Seemabia Tahir was chief guest.
Chairman Halqa Ilam o Adab Arif Farhad anchored the ceremony. Addressing at the occasion, Member Punjab Assembly Seemabia Tahir said that it was a positive sign to start literary activities after COVID-19 which affected every walk of life. She said that Dr Farhat Abbas has prominent place in Urdu literature.
The other speakers including Prof Jalil Aali, Naseem-e-Sahar, Qayyum Tahir, Hassan Abbas Raza, Ayesha Masood Malik said that Dr Farhat Abbas has rendered tremendous services for Urdu literature. His poetry and prose are appreciable.
After literary ceremony, a poetry recital was also held in which Tahir Baloch, Rehman Hafeez, Nasir Mungal, Naseer Zinda, Nusrat Yab Nusrat, Khalid Saeed, Riffat Waheed, Naseem Bukhari, Muzamil Abbas, Nasir Ali Nasir and other poets recited their poetry and received thunder applause.
