Younus Dagha removed as finance secretary
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The government has removed Younus Dagha as the secretary of finance, a day after Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Haroon Sharif resigned from his post.
Adviser to Prime Minister (PM) on Finance Hafeez Shaikh had met PM Imran Khan, and it is being speculated that Naveed Kamran Baloch would replace Sharif as finance secretary.
The notification, in this regard, will be issued in a day or two.
Sources familiar with the matter told the media that Dagha was being sidelined for about a week, and Shaikh wanted to instate his own economic team in finance ministry and other financial departments.
