PM emphasis close cooperation between Pakistan, Canda
ISLAMABAD, 07 APR (DNA) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has emphasized close cooperation between Pakistan and Canada in regional security, political and economic fields.
He was talking to Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ms. Heather Cruden in Islamabad on Thursday. The Prime Minister said relations between the two countries are based on strong foundation of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation.
He said Pakistan values its relations with Canada as partners in the common endeavor to promote global peace and stability, and fight against terrorism. Highlighting Pakistan’s unmatched sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, the Prime Minister said Pakistan regards all regional and global initiatives to combat militancy, extremism and terrorism as essential.
Meanwhile, Former Governor KPK Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House. Matters of political nature and development of KPK were discussed during the meeting. Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan apprised the Prime Minister on the status of numerous development projects and welfare schemes underway in KPK.
The Prime Minister appreciated the role of Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan in carrying out development work and welfare projects in KPK and FATA during his tenure as Governor of the Province. The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan would continue to work for the uplift and wellbeing of the people of KPK with renewed vigour and motivation in future. DNA
