COAS hails Pak Army as the most battle hardened in the world
RAWALPINDI, 29 SEPT (DNA) – Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Thursday said that armed forces of the country are the most battle-hardened forces in the world.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Abbottabad and witnessed the finals of 4th COAS Young Soldiers Inter Central PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) Championship at FF Centre. He also awarded prizes to the winners on the occasion, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“Pakistan Army is the most battle hardened army in the world and this is primarily due to highest standard of physical fitness, professionalism and motivation of our officers and men who face the challenges dauntlessly,” he said.
Speaking to the soldiers, Gen Raheel appreciated participants of the competition and trainers for achieving very high standards of physical fitness and professionalism.
A total of 406 contestants from 22 Regimental Centres participated in this event. Sepoy Sheeraz Khan did 1,214 Push Ups in 30 minutes to clinch 1st Position in this category. Sepoy Jamshaid Khan stood 1st in Chin Ups competition by doing 68 Chin Ups.
Sapper Akmal Hussain did 2,134 Sit Ups to secure 1st Position in this event. Sepoy Muhammad Asif was declared fit of the fittest in the competition by securing 2,474 marks. DNA
