NAB arrests 2 directors, 1 add director KDA in land grabbing case
ISLAMABAD, 27 NOV (DNA) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after intensifying its operations against land grabbers and miscreants allegedly involved in China Cutting, has arrested two Directors and one Additional Director of Karachi Development Authority (KDA), namely Abdul Qavi Khan, ex- Director KDA, Rashid Aqeel, Director Master Plan and Muhammad Nasir Sheikh, Additional Director KDA in addition to a private person Anjum Jameel Siddiqui.
Initially a joint Investigation Team (JIT) comprising of officers of NAB, Pakistan Rangers and FIA was constituted, which mutually shared information about notorious land grabbers and initiated inquiry against China Cutting Mafia. During the inquiry, two prime movers of the scam namely Muhammad Mujeeb Ullah Siddiqui and Faisal Masroor Siddiqui (Private Persons) were arrested earlier and on their pointation and lead, important documents were collected, which have now further facilitated the arrest of above stated actual culprits, the Directors and Additional Directors of KDA.
The above said officers of KDA were allegedly involved in illegal construction and sale / purchase of plots in a Housing Scheme named “University Hill Villas” located at Block-1, Gulistan-e-Johar, Scheme-36, Karachi on land reserved for water conduit and High Tension Line of K-Electric. DNA
