ATC grants Shah Mehmood interim bail in terrorism cases until Feb 8

ISLAMABAD, JAN 31 (DNA) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Wednesday approved Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s interim bail till February 8 in cases pertaining to attack on parliament and PTV.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi – a co-accused – appeared before ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand’s court today, and his bail was approved for surety bond worth Rs1 lac.
It is worth mentioning here that the cases against PTI leadership including chairman Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were filed during party’s sit-in in Islamabad.
PTI leaders maintained that the cases lodged by government were politically motivated. The protest was a legal and political right and not a crime, PTI said.
