Ambassador of Pakistan participates in Borisov city Mega Cultural Event as Guest of Honour
BORISOV, APR 9 (DNA) – Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission Abdullah Amin participated in the Regional Choreography Festival-Competition held at the Palace of Culture in Borisov.
The event was attended by around 1000 guests. More than 700 participants, 33 teams, 87 performances took part in the event.
The Head of the Education Department of Borisov region Ms Sadovskaya Irina opened the festival, after which Ambassador Sajjad addressed the audience.
Welcoming and appreciating the participants in the competition from different regions, the Ambassador also announced a special prize for the grand prize award winner.
Ambassador Sajjad highlighted Pakistan’s rich cultural scene and emphasised the importance of forging closer ties between between Pakistan and Belarus.
On this occasion, as a mark of special gesture the organisers allowed a Pakistani song to be played during the opening ceremony over which young students from a Dancing School performed a Pakistani dance.
Director of the Creative center Ms. Luzhkovskaya Galina, Deputy Director Ms. Kaminskaya Svetlana also attended the event.
The Ambassador and the organizers of the festival agreed on holding on Pakistani cultural activities in the second half of this year.
