KARACHI: Shoaib Akhtar said young Haider Ali should take responsibility while batting otherwise he wouldn’t get too many chances.

Speaking on PTV Sports, Akhtar suggested Haider to become responsible and play according to the situation. “It is not compulsory for you to play aggressively every single time. Sometimes you need to play according to the situation,” he said.

“Haider should learn how to take singles and doubles to make a game for his team. Every time I saw him getting out in a hurry,” he added.

Akhtar thinks that Haider has a long way to go and he must learn to stay at the crease for long. “He needs to understand the game and try to stay at the crease. If he continues like this, he wouldn’t get many chances,” he concluded.
