Pervaiz Elahi invited to attend Kartarpur Corridor ceremony in India
LAHORE: (DNA) – Indian Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has invited Speaker of Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor in India.
Indian Punjab’s senior minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi telephoned Pervaiz Elahi and invited him to attend the foundation laying ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor in Indian Punjab, sources said.
Indian President Ramnath Kovind and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will jointly lay the foundation stone of the corridor on Indian side on November 26.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will break the gound for the Kartarpur corridor on the Pakistani side on November 28.
The prime minister has invited former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the opening ceremony.
The Indian Punjab minister also congratulated Elahi for opening of the Kartarpur border point.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi invited the Indian Punjab’s minister on a visit to Pakistan.
According to sources, the two leaders are family friends.
