QUETTA, (DNA) – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has responded over the issue of Saudi Arabia entry into the CPEC project.

“We welcome investment in CPEC ,” the ambassador said while addressing journalists at the Quetta Press Club. Other Chinese officials had also accompanied the ambassador during his visit to the press club.

Earlier, much drama was witnessed after the reports claimed that Pakistan had left Chinaout of the loop over Saudi investment in CPEC . Confusion prevailed on the matter as the government at times accepted that China was not taken onboard over the inclusion of Saudi Arabia in the project, only to retract later saying that all the stakeholders were taken into confidence over the move.

The Chinese ambassador stated that after the formation of the new government, CPEChad been reviewed and consensus had been developed over the inclusion of new projects.
