STRASBOURG, OCT 03 (DNA) – Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman, Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, alongwith Wajid Khan (MEP) & Pervaiz Losar (Chairman EU – Pak friendship federation europe) visited European Parliament at Strasbourg (France) and met with 16 important  Members of European Parliament, also addressed dinner roundtable on Kashmir hosted by MEP Wajid Khan.

During interactions Senator Mushahid Hussain briefed the MEPs about prevailing situation and Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir, plus Indian military aggressive escalation on the LOC.

He met Vice President of European Parliament, Massimo Castaldo, Chairman Human Rights Committee Antonio Panzeri & Leader of Labour/Socialist Bloc, Colbert.

During discussion, Senator Mushahid Hussain told them that India is playing military escalation tactics, use of pellet guns, human shield and molesting Kashmiri young women to strangulate the popular, spontaneous, widespread & indigenous struggle of innocent Kashmiris in the valley.

Mr Wajid Khan also apprised colleague MEPs about worst human rights situation in IOK & asked them to take serious notice of current scenario.

MEPs assured own delegation their cooperation & promised to raise the issue during upcoming EU parliament plenary sessions.

MEPs were also handed over copy of 49 pager report recently released by OHCHR on Kashmir. Senator Mushahid Hussain thanked MEPs for awarding GSP+ to Pakistan and their support on Kashmir.=DNA
