Ukraine, Pakistan relations growing speedily, says ambassador Lakomov
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 27 (DNA) – Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Lakomov has said relations between Ukraine and Pakistan are from cordial to excellent adding these relations are growing with the each passing day.
The Ukraine ambassador made these remarks while speaking on the occasion of 27th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. In this connection the ambassador hosted a reception in order to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
Federal Minster for Railways Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed and Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal were the guests of honour.
The ambassador further said in 2017 we marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Pakistan.
Since Ukraine and Pakistan established diplomatic relations on 16th of March 1992 the bilateral dialogue between both countries have always been friendly and sincere based upon mutually beneficial cooperation, he added.
Ambassador Lakomov further said our friendly relations have developed steadily and political dialogue became regular.
He said, cultural heritage of Ukraine and Pakistan provides good background for cooperation in the field.
He said in past years people to people exchanges flourished as well. Hundreds of Pakistani citizens have received higher education in Ukrainian universities.
The ambassador said, Ukrainians have been completely formed in a single Ukrainian political national and today we are stronger than yesterday.
We cannot be enslaved or broken. We were born free on our land and we are ready to defend it until the end at any cost, the ambassador added.=DNA
