Tashkent, (DNA) President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi arrived in Uzbekistan on 4 September with an official visit.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met the head of Egypt at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

After a short conversation, the delegation of Egypt departed to residence, allocated to them.

The main activities of the visit are scheduled for 5 September. The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Egypt during the high-level talks will discuss the promising areas for development of Uzbek-Egyptian cooperation.

The heads of the two countries will exchange views on current international and regional problems.

As a result of the talks, it is expected that the Joint Statement of the Heads of State will be adopted, and a significant package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will be signed to strengthen and expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt in the political, trade and economic fields, in tourism, science, education, culture and sports.

Within the framework of the visit of the President of Egypt, it is also planned to hold a business forum and a cooperation exchange in Tashkent with the participation of representative delegations of business circles of the two countries.
