Stage actor Akram Udas escapes assassination bid
Renowned stage actor Akram Udas survived assassination attempt near Mandiala Mor when he was enroute to Gujranwala from Lahore.
As per details garnered, Akram Udas was travelling to Gujrat to attend the scheduled performance in a local theater when the incident happened.
Speaking to media, Udas stated that unknown attackers were chasing his car from Lahore. On suspicion of possible attack, the artiste stopped the car and ran on one side of the road. Upon this, the attackers resorted to firing.
The car sustained at least six bullets.
Later, Udas filed an first investigation report (FIR) at Lahore’s Cantt Police Station and named a local producer for being facilitator of the attack.
