PTI Chief Imran Khan appear before NAB Peshawar
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan arrived on Tuesday at Peshawar’s accountability court pertaining to a case of allegedly misusing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) helicopters.
Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan accompanied him to the court. Strict security measures were taken in account of the arrival of the PTI chairman. Khan will be given a questionnaire consisting of 15 queries.
On August 3, NAB had summoned Khan to appear before the court on August 7 (today). The court had adjourned the hearing after Khan’s lawyer requested another date for the court proceedings.
Khan is accused of illegally using Mi-17 and an Ecureuil helicopter belonging to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. This has caused a loss of Rs 2.1 million to the national treasure.
