US Congresswoman felicitates PTI chief on poll win
WASHINGTON, AUG 05 (DNA): A member of the United States Congress, Sheila Jackson Lee, felicitated Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan over the victory in the general elections.
In telephonic conversation, she expressed best wishes for Mr. Khan who is posited to become the 21st prime minister of the country.
She said expressed a desire to visit Pakistan with a delegation after formation of the government. Ms Lee said the US fully support and cooperate with the new government.
Mr. Khan thanked the US congresswoman for her good wishes and welcomed her desire to visit Pakistan.
The PTI claimed to have reached a simple majority with over 170 seats in the lower house of the parliament with the support of independent members and allies and is in a comfortable position to form the government at the Centre.=DNA
