Japanese ambassador hosts reception for his new deputy
ISLAMABAD, JULY 07 (DNA) – Ambassador of Japan Takashi Kurai has said Japan greatly valued relations with Pakistan adding these relations are growing with each passing day.
He expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of a reception he hosted to welcome the newly-arrived deputy head of mission Yusuke Shindo.
He said Mr. Yusuke Shindo is a senior and career diplomat and hopefully during his stay in Pakistan relations between Japan and Pakistan will further grow.
The Japanese ambassador also recognized services of the outgoing deputy head of mission Mr. Harada and wished him best of luck in his future endeavours.
The new DHM Yusuke Shindo in his brief remarks thanked the ambassador for hosting the reception to welcome him in Pakistan.
He told the audience, he is coming from Geneva where he was responsible for disarmament related issues.
He assured that he will try his best to promote bilateral relations. He said Pakistan is a great country with great people.
A large number of diplomats and members of civil society attended the reception. The ambassador Kurai also presented a bouquet to the outgoing diplomat. Guests were served with traditional Japanese cuisines.=DNA
