Unnecessary road barriers removed from capital roads
ISLAMABAD, MAR 24 (DNA)- On the directions of the new Inspector General of Islamabad Police Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri the traffic police have removed unnecessary road barriers from various roads of Islamabad.
Owing to this step, not only the traffic flow is regularized but people have also got a huge relief. It may be mentioned here that due to these unnecessary barriers, commuters had to face a lot of problems.
The worst-hit perhaps were the patients and ambulances that found it difficult to reach hospitals because of these barriers.
The IG Police Sultan Azam Temuri while talking to DNA told that the Islamabad Police would do its best to facilitate people.
He admitted the barriers were causing problems for people. Regarding removal of barriers from the D-Chowk the IG said those barriers were removed on the directions of the prime minister.
He said to ensure security of the areas from where barriers have been removed including the D-Chowk, police mobile vans have been deputed in order to match any security related threat.
He assured people of Islamabad that all out efforts shall be made to ensure security of the people.= DNA
