Pakistan, US reach important agreement over Afghanistan
ISLAMABAD, MAR 09 (DNA) – Pakistan and the United States top diplomats made important meetings in the USState Department where agreement was reached over the issue of Afghanistan.
Pakistan and US have agreed to find a political solution to the Afghan issue. It was agreed during the two-day visit of Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua to the US .
“There is no military solution to the Afghan issue,” Pakistan categorically told the US , saying that the political process is only durable solution to disputes.
The foreign secretary assured the US of cooperation in the peace process.
Tehmina Janjua, who represented Pakistan during the successful tour, will reach home in a couple of days. Sources said that the talks were held in the US State Department.
Pakistan Ambassador to the US Aizaz Ch was also present.
