Three security officials martyred, seven injured in Swat suicide attack
PESHAWAR, FEB 03 (DNA) – At least three security officials were martyred and seven others injured in a suicide attack near a military camp in Sharifabad area of Swat’s Kabal Tehsil on Saturday.
“Three security officials embraced shahadat while 7 injured [in the blast],” said a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Initial reports suggest that the blast took place near the Pakistan Army’s sports unit situated in the area.
Security forces and police have cordoned off the area and a search operation was launched to arrest the assailants.
Meanwhile, the injured are being taken to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Mingora, Swat.
