Six of a family dead in Khurram Agency landmine blast

PESHAWAR, JAN 30 (DNA) – At least six people were killed and one injured in a landmine blast in Khurram Agency on Tuesday.

Political administration said that the blast took place in the area of Maqabl, killing six people including three women. It said that the explosive device went off near a car. All the deceased have been identified as members of a family.

Security forces have cordoned off the area, while rescue officials have also reached the spot.

In October 2017, four security personnel of Frontier Constabulary (FC) were killed and three injured when three improvised explosive devices (IED) went off in an area of Kurram tribal agency.

According to political administration, the blasts took place in Kharlachi, an area some 100 kilometers away from Pak-Afghan border.
